The Little Light of My Life
OK, so I’m not trying to like, inspire sympathy or anything, I just needed to write about this so I could get it out and just have a place to organize my feelings.
So, over Thanksgiving Break, my mother told me that we might have to put my cat, Jasmine to sleep. She’s been just getting slower and skinnier, and we don’t want her to suffer. I kinda forgot about the whole idea...
“Natalie: people will call you weak. People will say you’re undeserving....”
– Erik, in one of the most inspirational Tribal Council moments I’ve ever witnessed. Seeing the tears in Natalie’s eyes showed that she actually realized that she could win the game, and had been selling herself short up until then. And guess what? She won. I love this show.
In Conclusion...
The second season finale of FNL was fairly worthless and boring. Jason, Lyla, and Landry need to get lives and get off my screen. That’s all.

One and a half more epps to go, and what is our plotline? Saracen wants to be a badass so starts looking at motorcycles. Hmm…I’m pretty sure there was an Arrested Development episode with George Michael with this exact same plotline that resulted in Tobias buying an all-man leather outfit called Leather Daddy.

WHAT?!
I seriously just watched the best episode of Grey’s Anatomy I have ever seen. Holy. Shit. What a whirlwind! The writers/director had some random enlightenment when they made this one. Seriously. Whoever stuck around with this show all six seasons is now finally being rewarded again with these last few episodes. We’re finally getting some of those feelings we gleaned from the brilliance...
In Defense of FNL
So, I finished the fourth episode of season two of Friday Night Lights. And yes, the storylines/writing are fairly atrocious. However, something that we have failed to acknowledge is how intensely this highlights the triumphs of acting on all levels. This show is a weekly master class in naturalistic acting, from every character (except maybe Lyla). The storylines are typical, but the actors are...
